Holly has been caring for women since 1999 when she became a Doula through Seattle Midwifery School. In 2000 she moved with her daughter to Asheville where she earned her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, and then began working on the Mother-Baby Unit at Mission Hospitals. Holly is a board certified lactation consultant. She enjoys nurturing new families helping to establish a positive start to breastfeeding. Holly teaches Breastfeeding and newborn care classes at the WWEC. As a board certified lactiona consultant s he also consults with nursing moms in their home and at the center. Holly facilitates MAMA-time meetings weekly, and enjoys watching mothers and babies grow and learn together.
Holly teaches a monthly class at the Women's Wellness and Education Center entitled:
Breastfeeding Basics and Fussy Baby Soothing Class
Her classes are fun filled introductions to all the tips and tricks that make breastfeeding seem much easier.
Private lactation consultations for breastfeeding support available as homevisits or at the Wellness Center.
Tours of Mission Hospital's labor and delivery unit and Mother-baby unit. Holly's tours really unpack the labor room and let the couple see how to best use the resources available to promote normal birth and maximize the many options for positions and comfort for the laboring mom.
