Ilene Procida brings to the Women’s Wellness & Education Center over 30 years of counseling experience, specializing in evidence-based treatments for all ages. Emphasis is placed on meeting each client where they are in the therapeutic process, to provide compassionate, individualized care with a broad spectrum of modalities: cognitive behavioral, reality therapy, reframing, movement, art, literature and film therapy, as appropriate. Ilene has completed formal, intensive training with the FBI, Medical University of South Carolina, Cornerhouse Interagency Child Abuse Evaluation & Training Center. Aside from a strong background working with child abuse, Ilene specializes in issues affecting so many women: depression, anxiety, body image, self esteem, re-inventing ourselves midstream. This counselor has been utilizing humor as a highly valued criterion in helping her clients move forward for the past three decades. |
