Ruth graduated from the
School o f Massage and Yoga in Asheville. "I am truly blessed to have
a job that is hands-on.!" Ruth is also the co-owner and co-founder of
the Womens Wellness
and Education Center which fulfills her dream to spread compassion and
healing to her community. She is a single mother of five children and
is passionate about running, yoga and gardening.
Ruth is also a nationally certified massage therapist with specialty training in prenatal massage and fertility massage. "My work gives me the opportunity to bring increased personal wholeness and wellness through the powerful modality of therapeutic touch."
Beyond pregnancy and postpartum massage Ruth specializes in fertility massage which is proven to reduce stress which allows for the success of both natural and IVF conception. This is a highly specialized massage that is relaxing and deep and allows the body to open and cleanse and balance to prepare for conception. Studies have found that massage therapy works to decrease the body's physical signals of stress, such as heart rate and brain waves, which some experts say may play a role in the ability to conceive.
